1981 Volkswagen Caddy

I am looking for a new caretaker for my Caddy. I've owned this truck for over 4 years, and have had nothing but fun with it. Yes the engine is in the bed, yes it's fast, and no it is not as comfortable as a Buick Lesabre. The truck was built about 7 years ago by another local Volkswagen enthusiast with a vision. I purchased it under the conditions that I had to make it fast or paint it. So, I made it fast. Three years ago I added the turbo system. The truck has minimal rust, the majority of which is in the floors, however it has been neutralized. As it sits now, the truck could stand to be painted. At least the bed and front engine compartment. In the engine compartment is the battery, fuel tank, radiator/fans. They are all covered with a light coating of mold from sitting. The truck has been sitting for a year and a half in the shop but I've been driving it daily the last three weeks in preparation to sell. Here is a list of parts/modifications. I'm sure I will forget things.

250k vr6 turbo engine
Rebuilt head three years ago. Lapped valves, new guides, seals.

9:0:1 head gasket spacer with mk4 steel gasket.

ARP head studs
Bosch 440cc injectors.
Walbro 255 fuel pump
GIAC ecu
Turbonetics 38mm wastegate
Porsche 964 Stainless muffler
BFI solid motor mounts (Delrin)
CX intercooler
Adjustable FPR
Boost Controller

Custom short runner intake manifold

Mk1 Jetta European front end.
Optima battery tray (non optima installed)
Dino Windy color matched period correct wheels. Yokohama s drive 205/50/15 tires.

Clutch does not slip.
No heat. No heater box, not plumbed for heat. Just open the rear slider and you get a toasty draft. Tires are alright, rear tires are obviously needing to be replaced first. Some bondo is cracking, paint is flaking in the bed. Reverse lockout on the shifter is not functional. But all gears work as they should.

I've never put it on a dyno, but this is the fastest thing I've ever driven. I would seriously estimate 380hp at 16lbs boost. Wastegate spring pressure is 10psi, so it's fast whether you like it or not. It is to be handled with respect, and I reserve the right to sell it to someone who will care for it and ensure that it stays on the road for many years to come. Being made from 4 vehicles, a b4 Passat, mk2, corrado, and caddy, the new owner will need to be capable of problem solving and creative thinking. After the sale, it's all you.
