Back in stock and better than ever! The SL-5200 was produced in 1978 and it features the same tone-arm as the highly regarded but much more expensive SL-1200 series. It features either quartz lock or a pitch wheel for speed control (weird but very cool). The stylus light is actually very useful and VERY bright. I have a high end Audio Technica cartridge with a high end at120e stylus just waiting for this table! Dustcover is new as well as the paint. The SL-5210 is the same as the 5200 but with a different factory finish (actually pretty rare piece, first one I've actually seen). OM10 cart is not included but you will get a new stylus on either a new or vintage cart. You have your pick of what I have available.
This is a plug and play ready table which has been completely gone through and bench tested. All of the vital bushings and components have received fresh lube and the table operates at 100%. YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS TABLE!!
I've been restoring Technics Tables for over four years now and have sold more than 400 tables in that time. The reason I started this hobby was because I wanted people to realize how truly amazing vinyl can sound on a quality system. New records aren't cheap, please don't spend more on a new album than you do on a turntable, you'll just end up regretting the purchase. I do work out of my house, but obviously this keeps my overhead incredibly low. I stand behind what I sell and would listen to any of my albums on the tables I have for sale. When you purchase a table from me I will answer any of your questions and explain the table to you in detail. I would estimate that customers are at my house anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes on average. I want you to feel comfortable with your purchase.
Check out our local record stores. Horizon, Pharmacy and Cabin Floor have a great bunch of people working there.
