Here's a budget friendly Technics belt drive model that is in overall great condition. Now, why should you purchase this model over some newer models that cost less???? 1.25, that's why. The mellow tracking force on even these budget Technics is so vinyl friendly it's scary. Add in the fact that with the p-mount cartridge design it's impossible to miss-align the cart and you have a budget table that sounds great and is kind to your records.
I cleaned the speed selector switch and both speeds pots (internal) with contact cleaner, installed a new belt, platter mat and Audio Technica cartridge and stylus. The plinth and dustcover are in excellent. This is a plug and play ready table which has been bench tested and just needs a new home. Better quality than the vast majority of tables out their today!
I've been restoring Technics Tables for over four years now and have sold (I'm tired of counting, a lot!) of tables in that time. The reason I started this hobby was because I wanted people to realize how truly amazing vinyl can sound on a quality system. New records aren't cheap, please don't spend more on a new album than you do on a turntable, you'll just end up regretting the purchase. I do work out of my house, but obviously this keeps my overhead incredibly low. I stand behind what I sell and would listen to any of my albums on the tables I have for sale. When you purchase a table from me I will answer any of your questions and explain the table to you in detail. I would estimate that customers are at my house anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes on average. I want you to feel comfortable with your purchase.
Check out our local record stores. Horizon, Pharmacy and Cabin Floor have a great bunch of people working there.
