I carry many of these tables in stock (many more than I have listed) and they are my number one seller. You will have your pick of what I have available and if you want a different dustcover it shouldn't be a problem.
When my customers ask me what table I recommend I always answer either the SL-D2 or the SL-3200. They are incredibly reliable, hold speed great and are built like tanks. Of course they also sound fantastic. This model was the first nice table I ever owned and I consider them to be the workhorse of the late 70's, early 80's Technics tables. The direct drive means no belts to change, and of course you get the Technics direct drive reliability. I lubed the motor bearings, replaced and refreshed any old grease with white lithium grease, cleaned the speed pots with QD contact cleaner and set all of the tonearm functions accordingly. An AT cartridge with a new stylus has been properly installed according to Technics Spec. I do move my cartridges around quite frequently so I will show you what I have available.
All of my tables have been thoroughly gone through and serviced and require little if any maintenance. The minimum that each table goes through is the following, motor bearings lubed, replace and refresh any old grease with white lithium grease, clean the speed pots with QD contact cleaner and set all of the tonearm functions accordingly. All functions will operate correctly or the turntable will not be sold! In the future if you need any help or have questions just give me a call, text or email, I'll always make myself available. Furthermore I'll never sell a table I wouldn't personally use on a daily basis. I believe in my product and stand behind my turntables!
I've been restoring Technics Tables going on four years now and have sold just about 350 tables in that time. The reason I started this hobby was because I wanted people to realize how truly amazing vinyl can sound on a quality system. I kept seeing people purchasing these toy tables with built in speakers that reminded me of the Fisher Price table I had when I was eight. New records (yeah, I'm old) aren't cheap, please don't spend more on a new album than you do on a turntable, you'll just end up regretting the purchase. I do work out of my house, but obviously this keeps my overhead incredibly low. I stand behind what I sell and would listen to any of my albums on the tables I have for sale. When you purchase a table from me I will answer any of your questions and explain the table to you in detail. I would estimate that customers are at my house anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes on average. I want you to feel comfortable with your purchase.
