I have two NEW portable window alarms sealed in their packages. They are great for use on home windows, motor homes, campers and dorm rooms. If you want to be informed if someone is opening the window or even a door, this little alarm packs a loud alarm. It will spook the culprit and you at the same time because of its loud audible sounding alarm. Have a broken lock on a window and not sure what to do while waiting to repair it? This alarm is motion activated and VERY loud. Where some home security systems don't give you any glass breakage coverage, this style alarm is just for this type of incident. It is motion activated. This window shock alarm most certainly will alert you and your neighbors someone is either moving or broken your window or door to get in.
PROS:
Inexpensive unit Uses LR44 batteries (cheap to replace)
High decibel output (louder than most alarms of it's size)
2 available settings for the desired sensitivity (high and low)
Battery indicator (easy access button to check battery life)
Comes with free window stickers that can deter burglars (available in english and spanish)
CONS:
Setting it in high sensitivity would often set the alarm right off (have to be quick and gentle in moving the switch).
Alarm doesn't have an automatic shut off duration. Won't reset itself. An accidental alarm means that it will go on for hours until the batteries runs out IF nobody is present at home to manually turn it off). Good news, someone most likely will call 911 if they hear it going off when you are not home.
NOTE: After installing it on the desired location of your window. Test the unit by tapping the window with an eraser tip of a pencil. Use ear muffs whenever possible because it will be very loud!
I have two of these and am selling them for $15 each.
