2011 Recording King RK-R50 with pre-war features including a mahogany resonator, 3-ply maple rim, nickel plated hardware, “fan” fingerboard and headstock inlays, one-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a Mastertone-style flange. This banjo is a 'woodie'. It has a wood tone ring, similar construction to the Deering John Hartford, which as a 'grenadillo' wood tone ring, also weighs less. With the head properly tensioned, this banjo and its wooden rim/tone ring has a soothing mellow tone. Cosmetically the banjo shows almost no play wear, and is in excellent condition. Comes in a Recording King hardshell case. OBO
