I am reaching out to the reptile community, rescue volunteers, and veterinary staff in hopes of solving a year-long mystery. My male Box Turtle Hugo was surrendered to a facility to a private individual after being wrongly rehomed from his is stealer (someone stole him out of his outdoor enclosure and then rehomed him to the person that surrounded him). If you handled a surrender during this timeframe (past jan 5th), or if you happen to have adopted a male Box Turtle about a year ago or so, please take a moment to look at his photos. I am not looking to cause trouble for anyone who acted in good faith. I simply want to follow the trail to my pet. I have maintained all ownership of him and am happy to provide them.
