Banquet captain, event manager (Easley)

I have a combined 8 and a half years working at 3 country clubs. I've also worked a few years as a server and Banquet staff for fine dining and polished casual restaurants.

I've been with a country club in Sunset, SC for 3 and a half years. When I started working there, there was no Banquet staff. I started the events department within a year. I honestly do love working there, but I'm ready for new challenges and to move up.

I create diagrams for room set ups and buffet set ups on Prissm (allseated). I write instructions for the set up, execution, and break down of events based on prior experience, as well as conversations with the Director, the Chef, and sometimes the Head Golf Professional. I created two extensive training manuals, one for servers and one for banquets.

I figure out the logistics of each event, such as if we need to rent anything based on inventory (which I provide), if we need to purchase anything, and what kind of staffing is needed (and schedule accordingly).

While I'm not currently a "manager," I offer a wide range of skills. I find the problem, find a solution, then direct others to implement the solution. I like to think that I'm well liked, everyone follows my lead.

I have a bachelor's degree from USC Upstate, where I studied communications, leadership, and production management.
